Tracee Ellis Ross Has a "Cool" Skin Care Hack

Tracee Ellis Ross is level-up goals when it comes to nurturing and loving herself.  There's no question that she is one of the undisputed queens of self-care!

If you follow her on Instagram you've likely seen at least one clip of her working out with her trainer, busting out squats, or even jammin' to Sia while doing Zumba.  On the other side of that you've also likely seen her gracefully and unabashedly enjoying time at a private pool, taking in the silence, sun and serenity.  Tracee knows what it means to take put her needs first and is an excellent role model for other black women to follow suit.

Recently, my eyes perked up when i saw her getting a facial that included a large and small pair of blue, glass balls being rolled across her face and under her eyes.  Don't believe me?  Check this out:

BLUE BALLS BIG & SMALL ~ day 1 covers

A post shared by Tracee Ellis Ross (@traceeellisross) on

Well, you know me! I instantly went over to Amazon to see if I could find these balls, and of course I did.

Here's the scoop:

Apparently these balls are placed in the fridge (NOT THE FREEZER!!!!!!!) and then are rolled on the face in slow sweeping motions.  According the the description plus some of the reviews, here are some benefits:

  • decrease puffiness
  • soothe achy muscles
  • pain relief from headaches
  • tighten skin
  • ease congestion
  • help you cool down

The small balls seem to be best suited for the under eye area. (Click link for Amazon price)

The large balls would be best for the face and other areas/muscles that need cooling relief.  (Click link for Amazon price)

And if you are looking for something a little more heavy duty we also found the freezer safe version! (Click link for Amazon price)

Do you have these?  Are you looking forward to trying them?  I can see the balls being especially helpful right now as the temps continue to soar during the summer.
